Music of the Waters

Folk singer Geoff Kaufman is back in Key West from his home in New London, CT for a few weeks, spending his days and some evenings at the Key West Bight, singing sea chantys on the dock and on board the schooner Appledore. This Friday, February 9, he joins Gary Zimmerman and Steve Allerton at West Martello Tower for an evening concert of maritime and Irish music. West Martello, the home of the Key West Garden Club, is a fine venue, located right beside Higgs Beach. The weather should be good; the music definitely will be.

We met Geoff last year when he played at a benefit for General Jeff Chapman at the Oldest House on Duval Street.

DETAILS

Friday, 2/9 8:00 p.m. "Music of the Waters" concert with Steve Allerton & Gary Zimmerman at The West Martello Towers, Key West Garden Club. $15 at the door. Steve and Gary have played music on The Western Union in Key West for years and we've put together a fine collection of maritime and Irish selections for the night.

Bob, I saw your webpage on my blog and am so excited. Geoff Kaufmann if from my area, I have seen him perform in New London, CT.

We will make it to Key West, someday. I work in the hospitality industry and look at least once a week (sometimes more), for jobs. I love the people, the atmosphere and the incredible sunsets. The 2nd time I was there was Fantasy Feast, and that was an experience.

My top '10' cities:
Key West, San Franscisco, New Orleans (our wedding theme), London, Edinburgh, Boston, Newport , Charleston, Savannah, Napa Valley. Contenders: Seattle (coffee) an Balitmore.
