Love Letter to Key West

This guest column to the Key West Citizen struck a resonant chord with me. My Captain Outrageous bicycle was stolen too, in 2004, from this bike rack in front of our apartment on Thomas Street. (The other bike is Janet's. She sold it and bought a trike after falling from the two-wheeler.) We took the two bikes to New Hampshire in 2002, and brought them back when we moved back in 2004. Mine disappeared, never to be seen again, soon after our return.

Covington Campbell, the column's author, expresses our sentiments beautifully:

Please take some advice from an island girl stuck on the mainland: Enjoy Key West. I don't have to tell you that it is a beautiful, unique place. Weave yourself into its fabric, and consider yourself lucky that you have the chance to be a part of paradise.

See why here

Right on, Covington. Thanks for reminding us of why we're here.
