Not looking for sympathy, but .....

I realize that there'll be no sympathy from anyone north of the 30th parallel, but here's what happened here earlier this week:
Key West broke a record early Thursday morning, he added, dipping to 45 degrees. The record low for a Jan. 3 was 46, recorded in 1898. The all-time lowest temperature recorded in Key West was 41, recorded in 1886 and again in 1981.

Somebody asked me the other day what the record low temperature ever recorded in Key West was. I said I thought it was in the high thirties but, as you see, it was 41ยบ F.

Full story, including the impact of the weather on our homeless population, at the Keynoter site.

And here's what the cold did to iguanas.

Bizarre weather! Here in NY it was 60 yesterday, and is supposed to reach 70 today.
Huddle close for warmth, y'all.
