The "real " Key West is a gem. However, during the floods due to hurricane season 2005, I'm finding it difficult to assess where are the worst streets during storms, where most damages occurred ?
Look forward to any information you can provide .

The best source for finding out which streets are "the worst" is something called the Key West flood plain maps. Begin here: http://www.cityofkeywest-fl.gov/topic/subtopic.php?topicid=30

Much can depend on the source of flooding and on the direction(s) from which tidal surges come. I recall clearly that the Atlantic side of the island was inundated to depths of 3-4 feet by Wilma, while the Gulf side flooding was less severe and lasted for a shorter time.
